BitDevs Panamá is a community for those interested in discussing and participating in the research and development of Bitcoin and related protocols. You can be well versed with or new to the topics, all are welcome. Be advised: discussion will be technical.
Events are free to attend and supported by sponsors. There are no tickets, no pitches, and no price talk.
Our monthly Socratic Seminar events are formatted to foster debate, information sharing and lively discussion. In the weeks preceding the event, discussion topics are collated from a variety of sources: pull requests in popular git repositories (e.g. Bitcoin Core, LDK, LND, Core Lightning, BDK), research papers, technical blog posts, IRC logs, network monitors and more. A moderator walks the list and anyone can interrupt with a question — the questions are the point.
The discussion portion of the event is never recorded, and we run under the Chatham House Rule: use what you hear, don’t attribute it. After the event the group heads somewhere nearby for coffee or beers.
Archives of discussion topics can be found in the event pages linked from Events.
Discussion runs in Spanish and English. Much of the source material is in English, but you should feel free to ask questions in either.

Topics for an upcoming seminar can also be sent as a pull request against the event page in the site repo.
